About Skullcap
A member of the mint family in plants, can be found in wooded, damp areas. It is usually harvested during the summer and is dried for medical use.
Skullcap can grow up to heights of three feet and more. The leaves and stems are dried and used to make tonics or teas for medicinal purposes. This herb is known for its calming effects and its major use is in that of relaxation. It can relax the nervous and musculoskeletal system. It has proven to be great for premenstrual syndrome and stress.
Due to its calming effects it is great in lowering high blood pressure.
