High blood pressure in your arteries is a deadly illness known as hypertension. The formal medical term for it is “Arterial Hypertension” this disease may affect your heart in a bad way and may lead to heart disease, stroke and deterioration of the arteries. There are two classes of Hypertension - essential and secondary. Essential Hypertension is the medical term for a patient’s condition that has no specific cause for the disease. A thing one should now try to avoid is eating too much salt. It is advisable that you try to cook without salt and avoid eating salty foods. Many people with hypertension uses salt substitutes and increase their dietary potassium to counteract the effect of sodium in the body.
